Your exercises,
coached in real time.

Vestibular exercises are hard to do well with your eyes closed. Recenter uses the motion sensors in your AirPods to track your head and coach you through every move — voice and gentle haptics, no watching a screen.

You choose the exercise. Recenter guides it — it never diagnoses or prescribes.

How it works

Eyes closed. Ears open.
Head on target.

No camera and no separate body sensor — compatible AirPods provide head-motion data that Recenter uses for live coaching when the sensors are available.

01

Wear your AirPods

AirPods Pro, AirPods (3rd gen or later), or AirPods Max connect to your iPhone and stream head motion in real time. Everything is processed on your phone.

02

Follow the voice

A warm, recorded coach voice — choose American or British — paces each movement and hold with gentle haptic pulses, so your eyes can stay closed the whole time. Every spoken line is also captioned on screen.

03

Never left mid-move

If your AirPods disconnect or a call comes in, the session pauses and tells you. Gaze exercises re-center before continuing; positional maneuvers restart safely from upright after a sensor disconnect.

No compatible AirPods, or battery died? Timer mode still coaches every exercise with fixed-schedule voice cues — clearly labeled, because it can't check your position or pace.

What it coaches

Choose for yourself—or follow your clinician's recommendation.

Recenter paces a full library of common vestibular exercises without choosing one for you — live AirPods coaching where head motion can honestly verify the move, labeled timer guidance where it can't. Clinician guidance is strongly recommended, especially for side-specific maneuvers and balance work.

Gaze stabilization

VOR ×1 & ×2

Side-to-side and up-and-down head turns with your eyes fixed on a target, plus ×2 progressions where head and target move in opposite directions. Live angle feedback keeps amplitude and pace honest, set after set.

Habituation

Brandt-Daroff & movement practice

Position-by-position guidance through each lie-down and sit-up with spoken hold countdowns — plus a builder for practicing the specific everyday movements that set you off.

Repositioning maneuver

Epley — left or right

As your clinician directed, with step-by-step movement cues and timed holds for the affected side. Head-motion coaching does not verify whole-body technique.

Repositioning maneuver

Semont — left or right

The swift cross-body sequence, paced and narrated — including the part everyone forgets: keeping the head angle through the swing.

Horizontal canal

Gufoni & log-roll

Appiani and Casani variants plus the Lempert 360° roll, with timed holds and narrated steps for the exact side and subtype your clinician gave you.

Balance & gait

Standing & walking practice

Static stance progressions, standing head turns, and walking with head turns — timer-paced, with support-nearby reminders at every step you choose to attempt.

Every exercise starts with a safety check, records whether you chose it yourself or a clinician recommended it, and ends with a symptom score for your diary.

Between visits

Track it. Show your clinician.

Self-reported scores only — the diary shows how you feel over time, it does not measure treatment effectiveness.

0–10

Dizziness diary

Rate dizziness before and after each session — with optional nausea, imbalance, and time-to-settle — and watch the trend build on your Diary tab.

7d

Streaks that tell the truth

Completed sessions count; ended-early ones are honestly labeled and never inflate your totals. Optional reminders keep the plan on schedule.

Clinical export

One tap builds a PDF or CSV of your session history to bring to your next appointment. It leaves your phone only when you share it.

Nothing leaves your iPhone. Nothing.

No account. No cloud. No analytics. Head-motion data is processed live and discarded; your session history and symptom diary live only on your device. Our App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected" — because we can't see your data at all.

Safety first

Some symptoms need a clinician, not an exercise.

Before every first use, Recenter walks you through the warning signs that call for medical care instead of exercise:

  • Sudden, severe, or first-ever vertigo
  • Double vision, slurred speech, or face/limb weakness
  • A new or worsening severe headache
  • Trouble walking or loss of coordination
  • Hearing loss, fainting, or chest pain

Recenter is a guided exercise coach, not a diagnostic device. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, select an affected ear or canal, or decide which exercise is appropriate for you. You decide whether to use it and which exercise to open. Clinician guidance is strongly recommended. Contact a clinician — or emergency services — for new, severe, unusual, or worsening symptoms.

Built by a physician.

Recenter is designed and built by Rajvinder Singh, MD, a family medicine physician who kept seeing vertigo and BPPV patients sent home with a paper handout of a maneuver they'd never done before. This is the coach he wished he could send home with every one of them. It coaches — it never diagnoses or prescribes, and using it does not create a physician–patient relationship.
